We do like our Christmas carol: “I saw three ships”. Its cheerful melody and its bouncy rhythm spread optimism, but we’re not sure to understand the meaning of its verses. What do the three ships represent? The three Wise Men? The Holy Family? Nevertheless, Bethlehem is an inland city and thus can’t have had three ships sailing into its port… Anyway, while we go on scratching our heads, we won’t stop singing the song with the utmost happiness!
Ens agrada moltíssim la nostra nadala: “I saw three ships”. La seva melodia alegre i el seu ritme ple de vitalitat contagien optimisme, però no estem segurs d’entendre el significat dels seus versos. Què representen els tres vaixells? Els tres Reis? La Sagrada Família? Tot i això, Betlem és una ciutat d’interior i, per tant, no pot haver tingut tres vaixells navegant pel seu port... És igual, mentre continuem trencant-nos-hi el cap, no pararem pas de cantar la cançó amb la màxima felicitat!
